I spent the last three days in Seattle with my girlfriend Margot, finalizing gear preparation and packing. I had dinner with my friends John and Erin from Snohomish and then Margot's parents on the last night. I took a 7am flight to Anchorage, landed at 9:30, bought some food and got passport photos for my insurance card for India. I caught a 3pm bus to Talkeetna. The roads were in low valleys and the views weren't good. I slept most of the time. The bus dropped me off at Talkeetna Alaska Lodge, which had a great view. Professor Wygal picked me and and we went to our temporary camp where the other students were gathered. We went downtown to get pizza.
